Potato Bake

Serves 6 serves


  • 1kg white, round potatoes
  • 300ml thickened cream
  • 40g sachet salt reduced French onion soup mix


  • Preheat oven to 180 ̊C.
  • Peel and slice potatoes 5mm thick then place into a baking dish.
  • Combine cream and soup, pour over potatoes and bake for 45 minutes or until tender.

    Works well also diced with diced sweet potato and diced pumpkin with the potato! And found cooking cream works a little better then thickened cream but it’s all personal preference!

    Absolutely delicious! I never knew potato bake was so easy. This is fast becoming a favourite of ours. I put some grated cheese on top for extra deliciousness.

    Wow will be doing this again. I did sprinkle a cup of grated cheese on top for the last 10 minutes. Wonder what it would be like with Cream of Mushroom soup.
