Apple Anzac Pies

Serves 8 small pies


  • ½ cup quick oats
  • 2 tbsp cinnamon sugar
  • 2 tbsp desiccated coconut
  • 4 tbsp butter melted
  • 400g can pie apple
  • 3 sheets shortcrust pastry


  • In a bowl, place oats, cinnamon sugar,coconut and melted butter; season with sea salt and stir to combine.
  • Cut 8 bases from the pastry sheets.
  • Press 4 bases into the pie holes.
  • Dollop ⅓ cup of pie apple into each, top with a generous spoonful of oat mixture.
  • Turn Pie Maker on, close lid and cook for 8 minutes.
  • Remove carefully and repeat.

Recipe Notes

Apple Crumble Pies - A variation of the above is to crumble into a bowl 8 Scotch Finger biscuits. Stir in 4 tbsp. melted butter. Line each pie hole with pastry. Fill with stewed apple and sprinkle with prepared crumble. Turn Pie Maker on, close lid and cook for 7 minutes.
